Whilst, from time to time, Skyzer recruits for specific technical and administrative roles, there are two positions for which applications are always welcome.

1. Trainee Electronics Repair Technician

Duties:

• Module replacement repair of EFTPOS terminals for most of the major Australian Banks.
• Loading and execution of self-diagnostic software to determine nature of faults.
• Replacement and cleaning of exterior case mouldings.
• Recording of fault notifications in maintenance database.
• Secure loading of production EFTPOS software suite and encryption keys.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Awareness of ESD considerations in an electronics environment
• Strong deductive logic/reasoning skills
• Familiarity with through-hole and surface mount electronics
• Soldering skills - surface mount rework experience would be an advantage
• Familiarity with component identification symbologies

2. Trainee Electronics Assembly Technician

Duties:

• Secure loading of production EFTPOS software suite and encryption keys.
• Refurbishment of EFTPOS terminal hardware.
• Involvement in logistics projects for rolling out large EFTPOS fleets.
• Assembly and customisation of new customer equipment.
• Packing and despatch.
• Project co-ordination and reporting.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Awareness of ESD considerations in an electronics environment
• Strong deductive logic/reasoning skills
• Familiarity with component identification symbologies
